Daily Thought 19 - The Distilled Wisdom of Books and a Post Script on Irony

Books: distilled wisdom.  At least some.  Some: pure rubbish.

The Former:
  • The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann
  • Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
  • The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
  • 48 Laws of Power by Robert Green
  • Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, ... Matthew, Mark, Luke, ... by loads of people
Obviously this list, short a few.  Just the ones I have either read recently or have left a profound impact.  Also, "good book" does not mean "right ideas".  Writers, human; flaws, expected; disagreement, guaranteed.  Nevertheless, learn what you can from the brains of others.

P.S. Somewhere inside, I do hope someone eventually reads these things and either finds some sort of ideological agreement or, at the minimum, positive mental stimulation.  The ironic thing, I write this blog as text on a screen when the majority of content I consume arrives via video and audio.  Expecting people to engage a blog when the world, and I, do not read blogs anymore, by definition: ironic.
